What is the Header Height Sensor?
The Header Height Sensor is a cutting-edge addition to the FarmTRX harvest monitoring suite. It provides real-time, relative combine header height values directly to your yield monitor. This not only improves the in-cab calculation of harvested area, particularly in smaller or irregularly shaped fields with many turns, but also delivers precise cut height information to the operator.
How Does the HHS Work?
The HHS utilises two inertial measurement units (IMUs) that are installed on the combine frame and the feeder house. The Master sensor (Sensor A) is mounted to the combine frame, while the remote sensor (Sensor B) is attached to the feeder house. Together, these sensors measure the orientation of the header relative to the ground, ensuring accurate header height readings whether the combine is operating on flat ground, uphill, downhill, or on sidehills.
This retrofit solution is compatible with any combine and works seamlessly with FarmTRX Yield Monitor Pro, Plus+, Base, or 2.0 systems.
